The Board of Management of Takaaful T & T Friendly Society hosted a Commemorative Dinner on Wednesday, April 14th at the Manager’s home in Valsayn to mark Friendly Societies Week 2010.

Celebration of Friendly Societies Week began on Sunday 11th April with the Annual Conference of Friendly Societies at City Hall, San Fernando. This was followed by several other activities including a multi-faith prayer meeting and cultural show in Port of Spain and a street parade in San Fernando.

Now in its twelfth year, Takaaful T&T Friendly Society has established itself as one of the most progressive Friendly Societies among the 160 registered organizations, many of which are more than hundred years old.  TTTFS boasts a Website (www.takaafultt.org), computerized Management Information System and a membership of 1050 of which 16% are under 25 years of age.

Friendly Societies in T&T have a membership of some thirty thousand persons.
