Aziz Mohammed

Aziz Mohammed was elected unopposed to lead the Board of Management of Takaaful T&T Friendly Society. Mohammed joined the Society in 2000 and has served continuously as a Director since 2001. He has also held the position of Vice-President and Chairman of the Investment Committee for several years.

Mohammed holds an MSc in Agricultural Economics from the University of London and a BSC in Management Studies from UWI St. Augustine and currently works with the National Agricultural Marketing and Development Company (NAMDEVCO) as Manager Market Facilitation.

Mohammed is the fifth person to serve as President with the first four being Imtiaz Ali, Khamal Khan, Sheriff Faizool and Aman Hosein consecutively. Other positions filled on Saturday 18th April during the first BOM meeting after the 11th AGM were Vice-President - Aman Hosein, Secretary - Manwar Ali, Assistant Secretary - Ayoub Mohammed and Treasurer - Fareed Ali. Other members of the Board are Omar Gorib, Farouk Khan, Khamal Khan, Adil Ali, Khaleel Ali and Terrance Ali.

Registered as a Friendly Society in 1999, Takaaful T&T offers mutual aid, investment, endowment, educational, social, recreational and sporting and counseling services to its members.
